Everyday facial contractions and relaxation movements contribute to the expressions of each person.

During our working day, we tend to contract some facial muscles for a longer period of time causing the unwanted imprint of wrinkles in certain areas.

One of the examples is frown wrinkles, which use CORRUGATOR SUPERCILII – the muscle that pulls the brows together when we worry about something.

The exercise TOTAL FACE WORKOUT using Oris Vista Face Exercise Ball applies to that problem and also surrounding forehead muscles: FRONTALIS that covers area above the eyes and PROCERUS, which lies above the nose

Facial Exercises

The TOTAL FACE WORKOUT also tones this group of muscles:

Orbical muscle of the eye – ORBICULARIS OCULI
Arches around the skin of the eye and lid, causing eye to blink and contract the skin in the outer part.

The dorsal nasal muscle – PROCERUS
Folds up the skin on the bridge of the nose

The lower nasal levator – LEVATOR LABII SUPERIORIS
Opens the wings of the nose and thus the nostrils

The LIP EXERCISE applies to this group of muscles:

The ring muscle of the mouth – ORBICULARIS ORIS
It shapes the mouth, allows lips movements for kissing and pulls the lips against the teeth.

The lower cheek muscle – RISORIUS
Retract the angle of the mouth.

The CHEEK EXERCISE workout these muscles:

The cheek muscle - BUCCINATOR
Compresses the cheek muscles to kiss, whistle and suck. The muscle fibres of Buccinator are inserted into the Orbicularis oris.

The mouth muscles – ZYGOMATICUS MAJOR and ZYGOMATICUS MINOR
Zygomaticus major blend with other mouth and cheek muscles: Levator anguli oris, the Oribularis oris and the Depressor anguli oris. Their action is to draw the corner of the mouth up and back.
ZYGOMATICUS MINOR muscles draw the upper lip up and out.

The JOWL AND NECK EXERCISE applies to these muscles:

DEPRESSOR LABII INFERIORIS, the mouth muscle that draws the corners of the mouth downwards.

The chin muscle, MENTALIS, pushes the lower lip forwards and the first CHIN EXERCISE together with JOWL AND NECK EXERCISE target this area.

The same exercises apply to PLATYSMA which is the broad sheet of muscle fibers beneath the skin on both sides of the neck, which tend to get a baggy appearance.
